Like a bite of sweet ripe fruit

So yesterday I posted a link about the new Kenya pricing… and now we have some for you to enjoy.

Holy **** is it good! Damn good. There’s a reason why so many coffee professionals name Kenya amongst their favorite coffees. Whether you can identify the subtle notes or not you’ll be able to tell it’s really good.

We brewed it a couple of different ways and we’ve settled on a recipe that brings out a ton of sweetness and a more syrupy body. My first thought when tasting it was that it was like biting into a ripe nectarine- so sweet… so delicious.

This year’s crop of Tres Santos from Huila has been awesome as well this go-round, and we’ll only have it for another week or less since it’s now officially out of season.

Oh and we have a new tea! Loose leaf Organic Masala Chai. We brewed some up today to try and it’s a nice black tea with some orange/cinnamon flavors and some other spices that chai lovers will surely enjoy.

The new menu is up…

A Fresh Menu

FINALLY finished the new daily menu- it’s a new format encompassing our current by the cup coffee and tea offerings.  It also includes retail prices if you want to take a bag home with you.  Remember that our prices now include 7% tax.  Look for this to be updated every time we get in something new.  We’ll have copies in the store for you to take as well.

FOCUS

When you work in a business long enough, you know what it is and what it is not.  Each time you make a change to the business it either feels good or it doesn’t.  Each step is an evolution of sorts, a further refinement of what you believe the business should ultimately be.  You begin to really focus on details that you couldn’t see before.  I give you our new menu…

It feels good.

Single Origin Espresso-ing

We have some delicious new espresso for you all to enjoy- a single origin bolivia also known as:

Black Cat, Single Origin Espresso: Anjilanaka, Direct Trade Organic Bolivia

It’s a mouthful to say and certainly it’s a mouthful of damn tasty espresso goodness.  Try it as a straight shot or in one of our European style drinks.  It doesn’t hold up in milk like the regular Black Cat as it’s much more delicate.  We pull it a little short as well (around 1.5oz versus our usual 2oz triple ristretto). We’ll try to have it on the bar in the Strip for a while so give it a go.
