21st Street Coffee and Tea
We are family owned and operated with two locations in downtown Pittsburgh. We feature award-winning Direct Trade coffees from Intelligentsia brewed on state of the art equipment from Synesso and Clover. Our friendly and well trained baristas care about what they serve and make each drink to order.

The Strip District
Our original location, we opened for business on March 28th 2006 as Caffe Intermezzo at 2018 Smallman Street in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Strip District. On July 27th 2007 we reopened our Strip District Location in the expanded space at 50 21st Street and are now known as 21st Street Coffee and Tea.
We have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, WiFi, and of course the finest commercial coffee brewer in the world- our Clover Coffee Machine. With the Clover we can brew any coffee to order to the highest quality standards in about a minute.
The Frick Building
Our second location was opened on November 1st 2006, in the historic Frick Building- Pittsburgh’s First Skyscraper! We are located in the lobby, to the right of Henry Clay Frick’s Bust
We don’t have a Clover downtown, but our downtown bar has been featured in Pittsburgh Magazine and the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. We also feature Pennsylvania’s first Synesso Cyncra espresso machine. The downtown bar is closed on the weekends (building is locked), but who’s stopping you from visiting our cafe in the Strip District.
