The 2009 edition of the most celebrated coffee in the world, the Geisha varietal from Hacienda La Esmeralda in Panama, arrives with our coffee shipment today. Every year we look forward to this coffee, enjoy it for a short time, then think about it until next year. This coffee is the product of an amazing coffee varietal, on par with the finest Ethiopian coffees, and state of the art cultivation/processing techniques. Geoff Watts, Intelli’s coffee buyer, gives us this analogy:

What we end up with is an Ethiopian coffee produced with the care and expertise that the Panamanian estates are known for … a match made in heaven.
The lot purchased by Intelligentisa this year is described as gushing with notes of orange marmalade and wild raspberries. A lush, marshmallow mouthfeel creates a graceful cup into the nuanced finish laced with caramelized sugars.
