As our name indicates we are 21st Street Coffee and TEA. We have a great tea menu at the moment but we are giving it a long overdue makeover. Right now our tea menu, recipes, and serving methods are good, but in the near future they will be great! Why are we doing this?
Cupping the tea lineup
Have you ever owned a pair of shoes or pants that look good on you, but are slightly outdated? A new pair makes all the difference. Maybe it is that t-shirt that you wore in college and you just can’t part with it, so you turn it into a muscle shirt. It has got to go! You do look all buff just like you were 22 again, but not really. Who are we kidding, get a t-shirt that fits and accentuates your changing body. Perhaps it is that pair of skinny jeans that you finally fit into. They pull up, zip up, but unfortunately they are stonewashed. Please be proud that you look good in the privacy of your own home and buy a “new” pair of skinny jeans. Starting to understand???
This is how we feel about our current tea menu. It is good. We measure out the tea, use the proper water temperature, and suggest a steeping time, but it has not had a makeover in years. We sometimes eliminate a tea, but never go that extra step and maybe accessorize with a new rare tea that is more expensive. The tea cup sizes are going to be smaller, but we will be using more tea per cup. We will also have new recommended steeping times and only offer certain teas “for here”. Finally there will be variations in price based on the type of tea just like our coffee menu. The end result, we hope, is a tea menu that is seasonal, delicious, and is given the same care and attention we give our coffees.
We know you are going to love our tea’s new look. Everyone we have talked to thinks it sounds “hot”!
