Yay Synesso! I just came over here via the CNN plug, but I’ve worked at two cafés with two-group Synesso Cyncras, which I have loved. I just relocated to Atlanta from Portland, OR, and am now working on a La Marzocco GB 5. It’s certainly a nice machine in its own right, but I much prefer the double-walled, exposed steam wands (and levers) of the Synesso and the kind of industrial, yet highly functional design throughout. I really liked being able to easily calibrate group temperature to adjust for different espresso roasts, something that was common as we used a small local roaster whose espresso was constantly evolving. I hope to make it to Pittsburgh at some point and check out/geek out on your shop!
