As we were going to the Strip this morning, and Tazza D’Oro wasn’t yet open, I decided to try 21st Street Coffee. Really good stuff! The La Tortuga was a good strong fruit/chocolate roast, balanced and dark but sharp, and the espresso shot was terrific – the best I’ve had in Pittsburgh outside Tazza D’Oro (and that’s saying something).

Nice to have real coffee in the Strip! If Amy opens a shop there I’ll have a problem, but for now I can remain loyal to both.

Nice pours, definitely winners. I missed a bunch of the others including Emily’s 2nd place. Hopefully TdO has some pix they’ll post.
