Interesting comments, Luke. Well thought and insightful as usual with you. I kind of chuckle as I write that last sentence, because I just completed a short article about why one would shop in the Strip and it included many of the thoughts you expressed (but from a consumer viewpoint). I believe many of the small business owners in the Strip share your feelings and that is why I shop here. Shopping in a supermarket is a chore - shopping in the Strip is a pleasure and an education. I always come away knowing more than when I started out. And that comes from dealing with people who know and love what they are doing. Ask a question in a chain store and more often than not you'll get a blank look. Ask a question in the Strip and you get an education. I don't know if I'll ever become an expert about coffee, but patronizing your business has made me more willing to experiment and ask questions. I'm timid and the haughty attitude of the employees at some chain coffee shops (that shall remain nameless)intimidates me so much that I'd rather get my coffee at Dunkin Donuts. The respect with which you and your staff treat your customers and your willingness to take the time to teach novices have brought in this customer at least (and I suspect that there are others out there like me).
