Last Brew Bar Update for ‘07

Take a look at our current coffees on the brew bar menu.  Everything is super-fresh and ground/brewed to order with precision on the area’s only Clover.

  • El Cuervo, Guatemala has been temporarily replaced by Los Inmortales, El Salvador.  The Guatemala is still in season and we will feature it again.
  • Abongabong, Sumatra is out of season and has been replaced by New Guinea.  It’s reminiscent of what Jamaican Blue Mountain used to taste like.
  • We have a new Kenya lot (Mathareini) for you to try…
  • Last call for the very popular Celebration Blend- The “Old Man Winter Blend” is on his way…

Thanks to all of our customers, friends, and family for helping to make 2007 such an enjoyable and successful year!

Just a reminder- we’ll be closing at noon on New Year’s Eve and will be closed New Year’s day.

New Year’s Hours

Just wanted to post our New Year’s hours- we will be open New Year’s Eve until noon and closed New Year’s Day.  Normal schedule resumes on the second.

New Years Eve (Monday) - Both locations open 7am-12pm

New Years Day (Tuesday) - Both locations closed

Wednesday 1/2/08 -  Both locations open at 7am as usual

Back at it

On Thursday 12/27 we resume our normal hours at both locations, so we’ll see you at 7am.

Open Monday until noon…

We’re open today until noon in the Strip, and will be closed Tuesday 12/25 and Wednesday 12/26 for the holiday. The Frick Building shop will be closed until Thursday morning (12/27).

Stop in and grab a last minute gift, gift card, pound of coffee, or just grab a coffee and hang out for a little while.

Merry Christmas everyone!

A shout out for our awesome tea lineup

teamenu.jpgCoffee tends to dominate the discussion here, but it’s time we take a minute to review the great lineup of teas we feature every day.  All of our teas are organic and steeped to order by the cup.  Each cup of tea starts with the correct measurement of loose tea.  Then each tea is steeped in the proper time and at the proper temperature.

I’m a coffee drinker, but every now and then I enjoy a cup of the Earl Grey with it’s classic bergamot flavor.  Customers have also been enjoying the Raspberry Green Tea, the 2007 Celebration Tea, and the Orchid Oolong.  Currently our menu has nearly a dozen different teas for you to choose from.  We have caffeine free teas as well- featuring our most popular herbal, the Blend 333, and the new Blue Crane Blend.

This time of year is great to enjoy a nice hot tea- but keep in mind that we can also brew iced tea to order.  We simply use a little more tea and a little less water to make a concentrated brew, then pour it over ice (lemon optional).  The Iced English Breakfast is what most people would expect from an iced tea, but the Raspberry Green is probably just as popular iced as it is hot.

The current tea menu can be found on the “Coffee & Tea” page, where we also have, ahem, coffee… where we also do that whole “by the cup” thing, maybe you’ve heard of it.  I’m sure it will come up one of these days if not.

Cheers!
