Any coffee- ground and brewed fresh to order in a minute!

Yes, we’ll still be serving airpots of our house blend until 10am, but we’ve taken coffee of the day off the menu at the Strip to offer you your choice of any coffee on our menu. Get the same thing every day, or try something new. Each coffee gets its own special treatment- from water temperature to the amount of coffee, grind, and steeping time. We control all of these variables to brew the perfect cup every time.

After unexpectedly selling out of our single origin coffees this past Saturday, we received in our new shipment today- roasted 7/26. We’ll be featuring the following coffees on our brand new Clover (while supplies last) this week at our Strip District shop.

Here’s what’s on tap for this week’s Clover Brew Bar Menu:

Anjilanaka, Direct Trade Organic Bolivia

You… Must… Try… This… On… The… Clover. Super smooth.

Tres Santos™, Colombia

This years “Three Saints” is the best yet.

La Tortuga™, Honduras

One of our all time favorites- you can’t go wrong with the turtle!

El Diablo Dark Roast

“The Dark One”. Enough said!

In addition we’re happy to brew up one of our espresso blends , such as Black Cat or Kid-O’s Organic Espresso Blend, or our Direct Trade House Blend on the Clover.

So busy we sold out of coffee…

Our first Saturday in our new spot on the corner was a big success. Here were the highlights:

  • The Pittsburgh and Western PA debut of the Clover coffee brewer was a hit. Customers loved the whole experience as they followed their drink order from whole bean to a fresh brewed cup. We hope to put together a short video of our own soon and post it online.
  • We experienced triple the normal Saturday business from our old location down the street, without having yet reintroduced our new food menu (in other words, we made/sold A LOT of drinks).
  • Customers loved the fact that they could now sit inside at the window bar, tables, the couch, or at one of many outdoor tables.
  • The Clover was so popular that we sold out of all of our single origin coffees! We started Saturday with a half dozen offerings but by the end of the day we had sold out of coffee and switched to brewing our house blend and El Diablo (our dark roast) on the Clover. This week’s order has some really exciting stuff in it so stop in to check it out.
  • Not to be outdone by the new coffee brewer, the incredibly good Synesso Cyncra espresso machine showed customers all day long why we decided to upgrade from our Astoria machine. The espresso is sweeter, the milk foam is finer, and overall it just tastes better.
