“good things come in small packages.”

Neighbors in the Strip has a nice write up on our Strip District shop in their February e-gram. Be sure to check it out!

Catching Up…

Now that we’re approaching our one year anniversary in the Strip District (and going on 4 months in the Frick Building), I thought it would be a good time to point out some of the reviews that have popped up online. Since we aren’t currently planning location #3, I also hope to update the website more often…

Second Location Now Open Downtown!

On November 1st, 2006, we opened our second location in the historic Frick Building in downtown Pittsburgh! Here are some facts about our new location:

  • The Frick Building Shop is open Monday through Friday, 7am through 4pm
  • We offer espresso drinks, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, chai, steamers, and a fine selection of pastries
  • Our shop is located in the first floor lobby of the Frick Building
  • The Frick Building is located at 437 Grant Street, between Fifth and Forbes, across from the Allegheny County Courthouse
  • At our downtown location we feature Pennsylvania’s first Synesso Cyncra Espresso machine!
    • The Cyncra features an electronic temperature control that allows us to brew our espresso shots to within half a degree Fahrenheit of a predefined temperature. This ensures that we are able to consistently brew each shot of espresso at the ideal temperature for that particular blend and roast.
    • The Cyncra also features a preinfusion setting that is used to swell the coffee puck evenly before the brew pressure is applied and create a more thorough extraction.
    • The Cyncra is also one great looking machine!
